What exactly does a lounge suite entail? A lounge suite is a set of living room furniture that consists of three or more pieces of furniture. The furniture items each resemble each other in color, pattern, design, and material, so that it is obvious that they belong together as a cohesive unit. It is standard for there to be one couch, either full-sized or the size of a love seat. Without a couch, a living room set lacks its "anchor;" the sizable and solid piece of furniture that gives a setting substantiality and creates a focal point from which the other furniture convenes. The couch also provides the biggest bang for its buck in terms of seating. Unlike chairs, there is not a set number of vacant seats on a couch, which, in a social setting, means that several people can sit together without the shared space feeling uncomfortable or strange.
